ÁGUAS PROFUNDAS [WASTWATER] || TERMINAL DE AEROPORTO [T5]

THEATER

Nuno M Cardoso presents a diptych of plays from the dramaturge Simon Stephens. Located in an airport nearby, the plays are about love and loss in different ways, about the modern life experience in a city where one arrives and departs.
Águas Profundas, original name Wastwater, it is a deep lake that serves as darkness metaphor to the story of three couples living in a period of crisis and hard choices. In Águas Profundas, we can find thematics like sex, parenthood, loneliness and dependency. In the second play, Terminal de Aeroporto, we can see the answer that a woman gives to her life after powerlessly witnessing an adolescent stabbing.
Two plays with a hard and bitter language that transforms people and trivial life routines in on-the-edge-situations.
