MASTERCLASS
Enabling the encounter between cultural and artistic field/object, researchers and publics is one of the objectives of programming masterclasses. A cycle that, in 2019, includes the presentation of the doctoral thesis of Dalila Rodrigues. The art historian proposes an approach to the artistic universe of Vasco Fernandes, not only to the intimate and singular register of his work, but also to the way that universe relates to a broad artistic and historic reality.
At the time, it tries to analyse the relation with the city where he lives and worked through the course of, at least, 40 years, considering patrons and agents, the people he related to and stimulated him, as well as to observe the effects of his process and his artistic route over other universes and creative instances.
* Doctoral thesis presented to the Faculdade de Letras of the University of Coimbra, in 2001.
