A Christian college theatre group prepares to participate in an ecumenical theatre festival at some university in the USA. Throughout the creative process students and teachers discuss
the staged text, its translation, and moral questions of a biblical and philosophical nature. But a tragedy may hamper the group’s ability to stage their play at the “Promised Valley Confer-ence Center”.
This play is part of the “Pequenos Males” trilogy, in which Mickaël de Oliveira reflects upon the contemporaneity of «evil» and its various representations: in the political sphere (“Croco-dile Club”, 2024-25), in both religion and education (“Promised Valley Conference Center”, 2025-26) and in the artistic sphere (“Adaptação”, 2026-2027). These three stage plays not only connect and complement each other by approaching different facets of the same theme, but also strike a dialogue between theatre and cinema, film editing serving as the central device around which the stage narratives are built.
