In the Japanese language, “Hakanaï” defines that which is ephemeral, fragile, transient, between dream and reality. It combines two ideograms – the one meaning human, and the one meaning dream. This fusion is the starting point of this choreographic performance that takes place inside a cube, where the solo performer interacts with the moving images that are projected, live, by a digital artist.
In “Hakanaï”, the audience experiences the performance in different phases. First, they discover the exterior of the installation. Afterwards, when the choreography ends, they may enter the installation with its moving images.
