While celebrating our 25th year of existence, we are compelled to look back, in a veritable exercise of retrospection. We remember moments that, throughout our history, have had an impact in the communities that inhabit, contribute and challenge us to always move forward, towards the future (bring on another 25 years)!
In a history brimming with momentous projects, both beautiful and inspiring, this ends up being an easy and pleasant task, translating into an irrepressible need to share memories and immortalize the ephemeral. Curiously, through this kind of celebratory exercise, we found projects that also commemorate their long history. Namely, Filipa Franciso’s “A Viagem”, project “A Voz do Rock”, by Gira Sol Azul, and Companhia Formiga Atómica, all celebrating their 10th anniversary.
In addition to bringing these projects back, for the enjoyment of our audience, in this season’s programme, we also filled our foyer’s walls with nostalgic images that show what we have been, while evoking what we may yet become.
