The dance showcase New Age, New Time (NANT) was one of the first stages I performed, as part of a creative duo, with São Castro, signalling the beginning of my journey as a choreographer and, undoubtedly, shaping the rest of my career path up to where I find myself today.
Thirteen years later, this showcase still maintains its relevance and impact, through the quality of the shows that are staged for the viewing pleasure of the audience, and by giving creators a space to present their bodies and minds, a place of constant transformation and questioning.
This year, still under the supervising eye of the previous director, Henrique Amoedo, brings us an opportunity to reflect on the path behind us and look towards the future, ever committed to our principles of challenging conventions and promoting artistic exchange.
Personal transformation, identity and sustainability are just some of the themes that come into play in this year’s edition, exploring how art and dance can deeply interact with current events and the main issues of our times.
