“Prelude” was born from an invitation choreographer Kader Attou posed to about ten hip-hop dance professionals from the Région Sud (Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur). The end result is this “off-road” piece that tries to reach all audiences, taking hip-hop to unexpected places.
Romain Dubois’s music meets the performer’s physicality in a spectacle that was acclaimed as the company’s most rhythmically attractive choreography. The dancers’ unparalleled talent pulses in unison with the music, while the constant tension and energy grabs the public’s attention, guiding them through a spectrum of wildly different body and emotional states.
