In the year of Teatro Viriato’s 25th anniversary, “O Edifício-Cidade” is intent on pondering upon Teatro Viriato’s role as a cultural instrument, in the city, and for the city of Viseu.
Under the scope of this project, we also host the “Rádio Pirata” initiative, that aims to recover the spirit of pirate radio stations, a prominent feature of the city’s cultural landscape during the sixties, seventies and eighties.
In an homage to Viseu’s freedom of speech, “Rádio Pirata: O Edifício-Cidade” will give voice and presence to the citizens, operators and social actors of the city, allowing them to participate and add to Teatro Viriato’s history.
