CULTURAL PROGRAMMING NETWORK
5 Sentidos network was created in 2009, with the aim of supporting and stimulating the development of performance art in Portugal, organising show tours and supporting the production of new creations. The institutions that make up this cultural programming network are:
Teatro Viriato (Viseu), Centro Cultural Vila Flor (Guimarães), Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente (Coimbra), Teatro Micaelense (Ponta Delgada), Teatro Municipal da Guarda, Teatro Municipal do Porto, Teatro Nacional São João (Porto), São Luiz Teatro Municipal (Lisbon), and Cine-Teatro Louletano (Loulé).
5 SENTIDOS | 2014/2017 PROJECTS
The 5 Sentidos Network was created in 2009, within the scope of the 2007-2013 NSRF, to promote the networking of cultural programming and artistic production. Currently made up by 11 theatres throughout the country, 5 Sentidos seeks to support and vitalize the development of the performing arts in Portugal, organizing tours of shows and supporting the production of new creations through co-financing, co-productions, and residences. The 5 Sentidos Network’s strategy - grounded on the exchange of knowledge, as well as work methods and experiences – aims to strengthen the performance of partners, vitalize artistic creation and expand audiences.
The structures which take part in this cultural programming network are: Teatro Viriato (Viseu), Centro Cultural Vila Flor (Guimarães), Centro de Arte de Ovar (Ovar), O Espaço do Tempo (Montemor-o-Novo), Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente (Coimbra), Maria Matos Teatro Municipal (Lisbon), Teatro Micaelense (Ponta Delgada), Teatro Municipal da Guarda, Teatro Municipal do Porto, Teatro Nacional São João (Oporto), Teatro Virgínia (Torres Novas) and Teatro Municipal do Porto Rivoli, Campo Alegre (Oporto).
In 2017, the 5 Sentidos Network will co-produce 2 shows.
