wed 9.00pm | 60 min. | ages 12+ capacity Limited at Stage price €5 // w/o discount How do we fill up the time we spend waiting for something? How can we fulfil the need to inhabit that temporal space? In "Durarei por Paz e Nunca por Mal", Mélanie Ferreira and Daniel Matos, create a device where audiences are invited to stand near and await a path of contemplation from above, where loneliness and strength are the core of a work process that builds the possibility of images or their complete absence, without ever throwing away body, space and future. With this performance, they propose a path of waiting alone for something that will always be better when shared with others. Mélanie Ferreira's Dependência Aberta project serves as an excuse for her to handpick creators with whom she wants to collaborate in research and creation, in a close-knit fashion. These collaboration invitations are issued because Mélanie Ferreira believes that the creative act mas be true, intelligent, intense and promising and, when not able to guarantee that on her own, she decides to make her body exist on another's mind scape. And so, a veritable dependency is born, a necessity of guidance that fuels the existence of this performative body so it can grow in meaning, reaching an even more pristine state - without ever being unilaterally dependent on others. It was through project Dependência Aberta that Durarei por Paz e Nunca por Mal was created, born from its spirit of continuity and a sense of safe space for intimate creation, in collaboration with a new creator, Daniel Matos, with whom the artist had already collaborated with in several other pieces, and with whom she shares a career of similar artistic idioms.
