Inspired by the classic "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", Companhia Ardemente will premiere, at Teatro Viriato, an adaptation of this book aimed at young audiences. This story, specially the 1939 film, is a landmark of queer history and the themes of self discovery, acceptance of differences and exploration of identity resonate with the LGBTQIA+ community around the world. And this is the springboard from which Rafa Jacinto and Roberto Terra jump off to explore these subjects and bring them to the fore in the new adaptation of this classic, mirroring the period of adolescence. During this residency, supporting the creation of the play, the company will read excerpts from the book on February 22nd, 4.30pm. A moment open to the audience.
